The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...
The System and Arch are optional added filters, for example System could be "redhat", "redhat-7.2", "mandrake" or "gnome", Arch could be "i386" or "src", etc. depending on your system.
Once you enable this Plugin under Padre, you'll get a brand new menu with the following options: Open Resource (Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + R) This opens a nice dialog that allows you to find any file that exists in the current document or working directory. You can use ? to replace a single character or * to replace an entire string. The matched files list are sorted alphabetically and you can select one or more files to be opened in Padre when you press the OK button. You can simply ignore CVS, .svn and .git folders using a simple checkbox (enhancement over Eclipse).
