If you want to get some other (but similar) ideas, you also might want to
look at GtkAda (http://gtkada.eu.org) which generates Ada code for
Glade files as follows:

One package (file spec + file body) for each top level widget
One child package (there is no equivalent notion in C) for callbacks
associated with each top level widgets

GtkAda also allows you to go back and forth between the modified generated
code and Glade.
