vpaned problems

Hello,

I cannot figure out how to set vpaned to properly prescale the size of the
panes on program start.

I have divided my application into many panes within panes so that they can all
be resized. I have a hpane holding a vpane which holds another vpane.

The last vpane does not seem to remember what size I have selected for each
side. It always makes the right half fill the vpane and the left half is
squeezed tight.

I've fiddled with the SHRINK & RESIZE properties of all the panes and widgets
in those panes without any luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
