Z88 is a fast and compact finite elements program for static analysises. Z88 is made of several program modules for preprocessing, solving and postprocessing. It features a DXF converter for AutoCAD import, a COSMOS converter for Pro/ENGINEER mesh import, a mesh generator for mapped meshes, two powerfull solvers, postprozessors for stresses, nodal forces and a nice plot program. Z88 comes with full documentation (~ 6 MB in PDF format for English and German language each), an easy-to-use GUI (the Z88 commander) with online- help and several examples. It features 20 finite element types as follows, most of them of curvilinear Serendipity type: * 3D: 20 and 8 nodes hexahedrons, 10 and 4 nodes tetrahedrons * plane stress: 12, 8 and 6 nodes elements * axisymmetric: 12, 8, 6 and 3 nodes elements * plates: 16, 8 and 6 nodes elements * structures: 3D and 2D beams and trusses Z88 can operate either in English or in German. Z88 has no limits for element and nodal counts, thus, the structure size is limited only by your computer memory and your imagination. Z88 runs properly on the LINUX operation system but also on large UNIX computers.
