 A couple of people have asked for rsync (1) mirroring mechanism
instead of the standard mirror tool. After installing it and testing
it over a PPP line, I can conclude it's definitely better at least
bandwidth wise.
 I then suggest that people mirroring rufus metadata uses it instead.
Check http://rufus.w3.org/linux/RPM/rsync.html or use rpmfind to get
it and change your crontab line to

  rsync -az --delete rufus.w3.org::RDF /wherever/your/RDF/dir/is

instead of calling mirror ...
Concerning the mirroring, the metadata are recomputed on rufus every
morning and are usually finished around 7 a.m. EST (noon GMT). It's
probably not a very good idea to mirror them just before.
