| Summary: Perl Module that Provides the PCX Portal. | |
The PCX Portal is a Perl Module / cgi solution that allows you to setup companies and users and assign applications to those companies and users based upon for-fee or free qualifications. Users of the portal are either an admin or a normal user. It is up to each application to decide if further rights or clarifications of user priviledges are desired/needed. Currently the only major app developed for the portal is XIWA (Xiwa Is Web Accounting) which is at http://xiwa.sf.net/. After installing the Portal you should run /usr/lib/pcx_portal/setup.pl to finish configuring the portal. Then view the INSTALL file in /usr/share/doc/pcx_portal-x.y.z and create the portal databases. You can then run /usr/lib/pcx_portal/create_default_account.pl to create the default company and the administrative user for the portal. .
