Use K7Z if you want to create/extract a password-protected archive or update an existing archive.

Ark (2.6.3) is very handy but it doesn't seem to:
* Create archives with passwords
* Extract (some) archives with passwords
* Update existing archives by default

K7Z attempts to fill these voids by handling password-protected archives and updating existing archives when possible.

K7Z probably won't become a total archiving solution.  It's intended to be a little script that handles password-protected archives.
