| Summary: Tool for exploring Bers slices and punctured torus groups. | |
Bear is a tool for studying Bers slices of punctured tori Bear is a tool for studying Bers slices and complex projective structures on punctured tori. Bear computes holonomy representations of complex projective structures by numerically integrating the Schwarzian differential equation, and can test their discreteness using an algorithm that searches through the tree of Markov triples associated to a representation. This RPM version of Bear has been packaged for Fedora Core 2, which does not include HDF5 in any of its standard package repositories. We instead depend on the HDF5 package from monkeyrpms (http://monkeyrpms.net) which includes the libraries and development files in a single package (with name 'HDF5').
